Nut Buster® Hydraulic Torque Wrench | MSD-N-20/30/40/50NR/70NR/100NR
The honing head consists of a linear bearing slide with a vertical adjustment of 17 inches and a hydraulic drive motor that will accept any honing tooling.
The Nut Buster® is a hydraulically operated ratchet (hydraulic torque wrench) that removes or installs piston nuts and cylinder heads. It uses a minimum of 2 GPM and 3000 psi to develop 20,000 to 100,000 foot-pounds of torque.
The Nut Busters® is a hydraulically operated ratchet (hydraulic torque wrench). It is a nut removal tool used to remove or install piston nuts and cylinder heads. The Nut Buster uses a minimum of 2 GPM and 3000 psi to develop 20,000 to 100,000 foot-pounds of torque, depending upon the model. All models come standard with a rotating base (MSD-N-RB), pictured here.
The Nut Busters® uses a square 8” plate as the base for the sockets and attachments. You can slide attachments into the adapter on either end of the Nut Busters® and rotate 45° to lock in place. Depending upon which side of the Nut Busters® you use, the tool will rotate clockwise or counterclockwise. We designed the Nut Busters® to be used with the MSD–D Disassembly Table, but you can also adapt it to fit your existing table. Please be sure to read and understand the operating instructions for the Nut Busters® before operation.

Nut Buster® w/Nut Runner | MSD-D-50NR
This Nut Busters® Runner quickly processes shafts with extended threads or lighter torque requirements. It will pay for itself in a short period, thanks to increased productivity.
This Nut Buster®/Runner will develop up to 52,640 ft/lbs of torque at 3,000 psi. The Nut Runner mode develops one foot pound of torque for every psi of pressure.
The Valve manifold directs oil to either the cylinders for high torque activation or to the drive motor for variable speed nut removal. You can control the speed of rotation when the drive motor is engaged.
A no. 60 chain and sprocket assembly achieves a 5-to-1 mechanical advantage.
A high torque OMS 400 series “DanFoss” drive motor will deliver variable speeds at torques up to 2,500 ft/lb. This supplies enough torque for most jobs.
